Why Choose

There are hundreds of sports betting sites on the Internet, but only so many hours in the day. Who wants to waste time scouring the net for good websites, only to sign up to discover the security is poor, the range of markets lousy, and the odds and bonuses not worth the paper they’re written on.

That’s why is so useful: we’re the only sports bet comparison site that clearly ranks the top welcome bonuses for new customers, hunts out the best deposit methods for UK punters, and discovers who has the best odds…guaranteed.

We also keep our details up to date. So that amazing welcome bonus that ran out three months ago will be altered, and that site that’s gone from ‘terrible’ to ‘great’ can earn a new entry on our site.

Why We Compare Online Bookies

Canny sports betting punters from the UK want to access only the top online betting sites. That’s why our leading reviews put you in the driving seat when finding the best odds and offers.

Best Online Horse Racing Betting Options

Betting on horse racing online is as simple as logging on, filling your betting slip with picks, and watching the live stream as you follow the action in real-time.

Placing bets on a horse race or races is simple. Click on a race meet in the market lobby to start forming a coupon. You can even use a horse betting calculator to work out your potential winnings.

You can add as many races to your betting slip as you like and make bets accordingly. Choose to take the SP (Starting Price) or odds as they are, then head off to watch the action and enjoy some live horse racing betting.

Win odds are displayed in fractional or decimal formats and are bets on the horse coming 1st.

An each-way bet is an extra bet that your horse will finish 2nd-4th (or sometimes 5th). You’ll earn a third or quarter the odds for this extra bet but it’s a good way of covering your options.

Predict the finishing position of two or more horses (1st, 2nd, 3rd or Any Other Position).

Multiple Bets

If you want to pick multiple races to bet on, you can sometimes cover doubles, trebles, or bigger accumulators like 4-folds, or a Yankee (11 bets made up of doubles, trebles and a four-fold).

Popular Horse Racing Betting Offers

Money-Back Specials
If your horse loses by a nose or head, you could be in line for some free bet refunds.

Enhanced Odds
Many of the big sites offer bigger odds on selected races before you place a wager.

Best Odds Guaranteed
If you place a bet and the SP (Starting Price) ends up higher, the bookie will honour the higher SP.

If you’re betting on a big race ante-post – that is, weeks or months before it takes place, you might end up with a horse pulling out with injury or not making the cut.

With traditional high street bookies you’d lose your wager. With a top online bookmaker you’ll get NRNB (No Runner No Bet) which refunds your cash if your horse doesn’t run.

Reading the Racecard

If you want to do your research before a race, it’s worth understanding the form. All runners will have Form, Weight and Age stats, as well as a summary of their last-run performance.

There will normally be around seven previous finishing places (1 meaning 1st place, 2 meaning 2nd place, etc), with a dash (-) indicating a break between last season’s figures and this one, a ‘0’ indicating it was out of the first three or four places. ‘P’ means the horse pulled up, ‘R’ means the horse refused to race, ‘U’ means the rider was unseated.

You’ll also see the Weight stats of the jockeys (e.g. 12-10 would mean a total weight of 12 st 10lbs) and the age of the horse.
